Listen in to Jesus’ ParablesRead the Sermon on the Mount
The Bible passage known as “The Sermon on the Mount” is a famous and thought-provoking piece of teaching from Jesus. It’s in Matthew’s Gospel.
Sitting down and reading it will take about 15 minutes of your time, and you can download it by clicking here. You can find it on page 8 of the PDF. It starts at Chapter 5 of Matthew’s Gospel.
All four gospels can be downloaded and printed from this page.
The Sermon on the Mount brings together many of the most radical, famous and important things Jesus said.
Mahatma Gandhi said:
“If I only had to face the Sermon on the Mount and my own interpretation of it, I would say, ‘Yes, I am a Christian’.”
Do you think Jesus’ demands are unrealistic?
Are they a perfect ideal that nobody is truly expected to follow?
Or are they something Jesus expects from all his followers?
Which part of this teaching do you most need to discover in your life?

Jesus was someone who stretched the faith of people around him. He constantly dared people to see things differently, to act differently and to take steps of faith towards God.
