Pray for a friendTry praying for someone you know. Someone who could use some help from above.
Get a few moments of peace and quiet, if you can. Think about this person, and what their needs are.
Some people like to pray out loud. Some just say words in their head. Some pray in mental pictures rather than words, or just come before God with these things on their mind. Some imagine Jesus is sitting in a chair in their room, and simply talk to him. There are no right and wrong ways, of course. It’s a matter of finding out what works for you.
If you prefer to have some words to read out loud or silently, here are some:
Dear God,
Jesus taught us that you hear our prayers, and are more than willing to give good things for those who ask.I pray for (put your friend’s name here). I pray for your help, comfort and strength. I ask that you would do this for them: (put your friend’s needs here).
Help me to be of help myself. Help me to keep praying. Amen
“The more we receive in silent prayer, the more we can give in actual life.”
Malcolm Muggeridge

Jesus was someone who stretched the faith of people around him. He constantly dared people to see things differently, to act differently and to take steps of faith towards God.
