Join a local church courseExplore whether a church near you runs a course for people who want to learn about the Christian faith.
A lot of churches run Alpha courses. These are usually hospitable and relaxed events – many of them even include a decent plate of pasta! Alpha courses look at different aspects of Christian life and belief over several weeks. A typical evening includes a light supper, a short talk followed by small group discussion, when you can ask questions and express your opinion, and finishing up with coffee.
Alternatively, some churches run their own style of “inquirers” course, or have occasional “confirmation” courses (for people wanting to explore membership of a church).
To find out more about the Alpha Course, pay a visit to their website.
“I cannot think of any other course that covers the introduction to the core beliefs of the Christian faith in such an accessible way and so relevantly for today.”
David Suchet, actor, speaking of the Alpha Course

Jesus was someone who stretched the faith of people around him. He constantly dared people to see things differently, to act differently and to take steps of faith towards God.
